Huipil woven on a backstrap loom and dyed with cocoa; the cotton was grown in the region, harvested, and wound onto a reel so that it could be woven by Mazatec artisan women. It is a long process to make a huipil like this one, because the journey begins with the planting of the cotton. Adorned with ribbons on the sides and woven fabric on the sides. The collar has been embroidered and attached to the huipil. In the center is a double-headed eagle surrounded by flowers. The effort and fatigue contributed by women artisans should be valued. The backstrap loom Huipil is not expensive, it is a wearable art. ●●●●●●●●●●●● NOTICE ●●●●●●●●●●●●●● Image created with AI. For more details about the huipil, please see the attached pictures.
