The Pantelhó Chiapas Huipiles, are a traditional Tzotzil garment, made with ancestral backstrap loom techniques. These huipiles often feature hand-embroidered iconography, including representations such as the toad or other symbols related to nature and the cosmovision of the community as well as a manifestation of the history and ancestral wisdom of the Tzotzil community. This garment was woven by a group of women artisans from the state of Chiapas, Mexico. It is a way of perpetuating their worldview, wisdom, and identity. The Huipil was made using a fraying technique and also includes cosmogony of frogs, flowers, monkeys, lord of earth and milpa. Give yourself the opportunity to wear a unique garment, from the hands of the artisan to wardrobe. The effort and fatigue contributed by women artisans should be valued. The backstrap loom Huipil is not expensive, it is a wearable art. It is more than clothing; it is a symbol of cultural identity, resistance, and artistry, often representing the weaver's community, marital status, and social standing. ●●●●●●●●●●●● NOTICE ●●●●●●●●●●●●●● Image created with AI.
