The Tacuates artisans of Oaxaca hand embroider beautiful figures that dazzle with their beauty, as they are authentic textile masterpieces.
The embroideries of the tacuates are authentic jewels of Oaxacan textiles.
The Tacuates are a Mixtec-speaking people (Tu'un Savi). However, although they are related to the “rain people”, they claim themselves as a totally distinct and independent community. The gentilicio tacuate comes from the Nahuatl tlalcoatl (tlal, man and coatl, snake); that is, it can be translated as “snake man”. For their part, the tacuates usually call themselves Tata Koo (“lord snake”).
If you fell in love with it but prefer a shorter huipil, we can adjust it to the desired length at no additional cost. (Industrial machine hem).
