The chinantecos huipiles have a lot of history and tradition. These grandmothers learned sitting next to their grandmothers, watching every movement and keeping in their memory the designs.
Each design and each garment that comes out of their hands recalls the cultural tradition of their ancestors, as well as the teachings and the vision that their ancestors had of their environment. The representations that speak about their cosmovision stand out, portrayed in the mythical figures, such as the feathered serpents, beings that for the Chinantecos stopped being reptiles and became birds, considered guardians of the gods and teaching men to work the fields, art and social organization.
This beautiful cotton huipil is embroidered on both sides in Aida fabric. Completely embroidered in purple tones by the magic hands of the Chinanteca masters of Oaxaca.
