Handmade embroidered Huipil made by Amuzgas women from Xochistlahuaca Guerrero. This region is known for the women who create their own Huipiles in backstrap weavers with traditional designs full of color and symbolism. The garments made by these master craftswomen are elaborated in several days, weeks and even months, depending on the details of each garment, leaving their life, their experiences, their daily life and their customs. Embroideries that have remained from generation to generation taking care not to lose their culture and way of life. This huipil is made with the backstrap loom weaving, which is more time consuming and complicated to work with than the treadle loom. The effort and fatigue contributed by women artisans should be valued. A huipil is not expensive, it is art. As it is a handmade garment, the design may change slightly from one line to another.
