Hand embroidered Huipil made by Amuzgas women from Xochistlahuaca Guerrero.
This region is known for the women who create their own Huipiles in backstrap weavers with traditional designs full of color and symbolism.
The garments made by these master craftswomen are elaborated in several days, weeks and even months, depending on the details of each garment, leaving their life, their experiences, their daily life and their customs.
Embroideries that have remained from generation to generation taking care not to lose their culture and way of life. días.
This huipil was elaborated during 225 days, in backstrap weaving with three panels joined with “canahuate” stitch and brocades in bright colors.
The effort and fatigue contributed by women artisans should be valued.
The backstrap loom Huipil is not expensive, it is a wearable art.
