{"product_id":"mexican-oaxacan-mazatec-huipil-o-s","title":"Mexican, Oaxacan  Mazatec Huipil.    O\/S","description":"The huipil from San Bartolomé Ayautla, Oaxaca, is an emblematic piece of Mazatec culture (“Ngui yufí” or “Place under the clouds”).\nIt was traditionally made on a backstrap loom with hand-spun cotton. It uses a gauze weaving technique, which creates a light, transparent fabric with small holes for embroidery.\n\nThe traditional embroidery, known as indúaya, is done with an almost imperceptible stitch. It begins with the outline of the figure and is then filled in by intertwining the threads with the fabric to create a mesh effect.\nThe motifs often represent local flora and fauna, such as flowers, birds, and magnolias (associated with the name of the town in Mazatec). \nThe act of putting on the huipil is considered a birth ritual; by passing her head through the hole, the woman transitions from the “dream world” of embroidery to everyday life.\nThe designs represent the connection with nature and the elements. The neckline symbolizes the entrance to a new world, while the figures on the shoulders represent the center of nature and the cardinal points.\nThe lines of flowers at the bottom often symbolize the transmission of tradition between generations. \n\nThe garments made by these master craftswomen are elaborated in several days, weeks and even months, depending on the details of each garment, leaving their life, their experiences, their daily life and their customs.\nEmbroideries that have remained from generation to generation taking care not to lose their culture and way of life. \n\nThe effort and fatigue contributed by women artisans should be valued.\nA Huipil is not expensive, it is a wearable art.   \n\nImage created with AI.\n For more details about the huipil, please see the attached pictures.\n If you need further information, please contact me.\nThe last image is the inside of the blouse.\n\nTechnique: Embroidery on muslin fabric.\nPrimary color: Pink (Embroidery).\nSecondary color: Green\n\nSizes : One Size\nWidth: 24.5\"\nLength: 26\"\nNeck circumference: 31\"\nArmhole: 7.5\"\nOpen side: 3.5\"\nPanels: One\nPull up \n\n\n      Care instructions:\n• Preferably dry clean or.\n• Hand wash or delicate cycle.\n• Wash in cold water.\n• Do not mix.\n• Do not tumble dry, dry in shade.\n• Do not use bleach.\n\n\nNOTES:\n• Rustic and irregular texture\n• Please note that color or texture variation is normal in handmade garments. \n• Colors may be unrepeatable and irregular in some garments after they are woven or created.\n\nNotice: \nReturns are allowed only when the customer notifies his desire to return the garment the same day it was received and in the same conditions.  \nNot applicable for PO box.","brand":"Mi tienda","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48768867434713,"sku":null,"price":310.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0816\/4012\/8729\/files\/290a7263-il_fullxfull.7693771409_86b9.jpg?v=1780252902","url":"https:\/\/d5ntvm-zm.myshopify.com\/products\/mexican-oaxacan-mazatec-huipil-o-s","provider":"Savi Huipil","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
