It is traditionally grown and spun in the Costa Chica of Oaxaca and Guerrero, where it is used to weave garments and textiles.\nCoyuche cotton is distinguished by its color, soft texture and its ability to create garments with unique designs; it is also used in the production of embroidery, which is added to garments to give them a unique look.  \nIn addition to its cultural and historical value, Coyuche cotton also has an important economic value for the communities that grow it. Coyuche cotton is sold to local and national markets, and is also used to create handcrafted textile products such as in this garment.\nThis Huipil was created entirely by hand from cotton planting, waiting to cultivation, spinning and weaving.
